Overview[]

Unknown Location (The Great Clock: Sector One) (story)[]
After over a year of hibernation, Clank wakes up to discover he's been taken to a mysterious Zoni facility at the behest of the evil Dr. Nefarious. His awakening came just in time; the mechanical malefactor's use of a sonic device appears to have disrupted the machinery and scattered the Zoni who reside there! With no Lombaxes around to help, Clank must escape his nemesis' clutches or suffer whatever fate Nefarious has in store for him.
Planet Quantos, Phylax Sector[]
While searching the Breegus System for signs of Clank, Ratchet and Qwark are hit by an unidentified spacial anomaly and marooned on planet Quantos. To their surprise, they discover that time itself seems to be broken across the entire planet. The two set out in search of intelligent life, and hopefully, a way off the planet.
Vorselon's Warship, Phylax Sector[]
Believing Ratchet to be a local rebel named Azimuth, a mercenary calling himself "Lord Vorselon" attacked the Fongoids and took Captain Qwark hostage. Armed with a new-and-improved Aphelion, Ratchet must now rescue his friend and restore peace to planet Quantos. That is, if Qwark doesn't get himself killed first...
The Great Clock: Sector Two (story)[]
Clank once again wakes up inside The Great Clock. Only this time, the facility is mysteriously empty and in a state of complete disrepair. Junior Caretaker Sigma-0426A offers to introduce him to Orvus, the Zoni leader and architect of the Great Clock. It is Orvus who holds the key to Clank's destiny.
Planet Torren IV, Vela Sector[]
Ratchet has been mistaken for Alister Azimuth, a rebel who has been causing trouble for Dr. Nefarious and his mercenaries. Determined to discover Clank's exact location, Ratchet must now head to Torren IV in hopes of finding the mysterious outlaw and recruiting him to his cause.
Planet Terachnos, Vela Sector[]
General Azimuth reveals that the only way to talk to Clank is by using an Obsidian Eye, a Zoni device used for communicating with residents of The Great Clock. Since these machines are hidden in remote parts of the universe, Ratchet's only hope of locating one is to break into Pollyx Industries. Its CEO has been hired to locate and sequester Zoni technology, so hacking his computer is Ratchet's last hope.
The Great Clock: Sector Three (story)[]
Clank's destiny to serve as the clock's Senior Caretaker has finally been revealed. But questions still surround The Great Clock and the disappearance of its architect. With Sigmund standing by as the facility's only remaining employee, Clank ventures closer to the Orvus Chamber while learning about the powers locked inside him.
Agorian Battleplex, Korthos Sector[]
Captain Qwark's mission to coerce information from the Agorians has resulted in catastrophe. Rather than give up what they know about Dr. Nefarious' plan, the warlike Agorians sentenced Qwark to death in their battleplex. Unfortunately for Ratchet, he's now Qwark's only chance for survival.
Planet Lumos, Korthos Sector[]
With the help of General Azimuth, Ratchet learns that the last remaining Obsidian Eye in the universe is located in Krell Canyon. If he can use it to contact Clank, he may be able to get coordinates to The Great Clock before Dr. Nefarious causes any more trouble.
Planet Zanifar, Korthos Sector[]
Clank has discovered that Orvus was last seen two years ago at the Tombli Outpost on Zanifar. Desperate to learn the truth behind his father's disappearance, he works with Sigmund to create a portal that will allow Ratchet to travel back in time. The chances of changing the past are slim, but if Ratchet can unravel the mystery of what happened to Orvus, he may be one step closer to revealing Dr. Nefarious' master plan.
Vorselon's Warship, Korthos Sector[]
While Ratchet was learning about how Dr. Nefarious stumbled upon Clank's destiny, General Azimuth found himself surrounded by Lord Vorselon's patrol ships. The maniacal mercenary now holds the Lombax hostage in his warship, and will release him on one condition: Ratchet must take his place.
The Great Clock: Sector Four (story)[]
The Great Clock is almost fully restored thanks to the hard work of Clank and Sigmund. The facility's newest Senior Caretaker has only a few more chores to finish before entering the Orvus Chamber, the facility's main control hub. It is there he will take his rightful place as the guardian of time!
Planet Vapedia, Bernilius Sector[]
Unbeknownst to Ratchet, Dr. Nefarious has recaptured Clank and faked a distress call from planet Vapedia. Ratchet and Azimuth will soon fly directly into Unnecessarily Evil Initiative Omega-91, where Cassiopeia waits inside her citadel with an army of murderous Valkyries.
Nefarious Space Station, Bernilius Sector[]
Thanks to Dr. Nefarious' treachery, the Orvus Chamber is now unlocked and ready to be used for his own personal gain. Little does he know, his plan to disrupt time will break the clock and destroy the universe! Ratchet and Clank must now embark on a desperate mission to neutralize his armada and prevent him from reaching the Great Clock.
Planet Morklon, Corvus Sector[]
Though the plan to destroy Dr. Nefarious' armada was a success, Ratchet and Clank were captured and banished to dismal planet Morklon. With disaster on the horizon, the duo now frantically searches for a way back to the station. Should they fail to stop Lawrence from picking up Dr. Nefarious, their efforts to save the universe may all be for nothing.
Nefarious Space Station, Bernilius Sector (return)[]
While Ratchet and Clank were banished on Morklon, Lawrence arrived at the station to pick up Dr. Nefarious. Unfortunately for the universe, the only thing standing between them and disaster is Captain Qwark! With no time to spare, Ratchet and Clank must now race back to the station and stop Dr. Nefarious once and for all.
The Great Clock: Sector Five (story)[]
With Dr. Nefarious vanquished and the Great Clock safe, it is time for Clank to take his rightful place as Senior Caretaker of the Great Clock. After countless adventures and years of friendship, it appears that the day has finally come for Ratchet and Clank to part company.
Years of guilt have consumed Alister Azimuth and clouded his judgment. Desperate to turn back time and prevent the fall of the Lombaxes, he killed Ratchet and attempted to seize control of the Great Clock. After successfully locking him out of the Orvus Chamber, Clank risked everything to turn back time and save his friend. With Ratchet back in action, the two must now stand up to the only true family Ratchet has ever known.

Galactic Trivia[]
(Appears on loading screens.)
- Last year the Valkyries were responsible for more than double the amount of transport hijackings as the space pirates, making them the newest and most dangerous threat to inexperienced pilots.
- The Huron Abyss is planet Lumos' largest tourist attraction. Visitors come from the farthest reaches of the universe just to throw stuff into it.
- When the Erebus Supernova decimated the Valkyrie colony, the survivors began a three-decade pilgrimage to Vapedia. When they finally arrived at the planet, all male Valkyries were banished for failing to ask for directions.
- Fongoid males possess a strange vocal tic doctors have been unable to explain for centuries. Terachnoid geneticist Dr. Vrax Brumar believes it may be a genetic defect caused by repeated trips through time, but admits the very notion of time travel is both laughable and impossible.
- When the Agorians realized their battleplex violated the Impenetrable Code of Agorian Honour, they rewrote their bylaws to allow it. A copy of the new, Semi-Impenetrable Code of Agorian Honor can now be found in the Hall of Knowledge.
- Zolar Forest is rumored to be the birthplace of Zahn Gribnak, the famed Fongoid hero defeated by Commander Argos in the Battle of Gimlick Valley.
- When the Great Clock was initiated, Orvus locked himself inside to protect it from those seeking to use it for personal gain. During his reign, he only left three times: once to planet Quartu, once to planet Viceron, and once to planet Zanifar.
- According to the Intergalactic Society of Evolutionary Biologists, the Agorians are the only race in the history of the universe to stop evolving. In fact, no physical or mental changes in their race have been noted in all of recorded history.
- Terachnos was voted "Weakest Planet in the Universe" four-thousand years straight.
- The Nefarious Space Station is roughly one-third the size of Axiom City, and is considered to be the most ridiculously overpowered head-shaped space station ever created. This naturally does not include the evil fortress of Dr. Klauss Blackmatter, whose head-shaped fortress was neither ridiculous nor overpowered.
- Molonoth Fields is now the galaxy's largest junkyard, owned and operated by an industrious race of nomatic creatures known as Vullards. Their chief export is more junk.
- Dr. Nefarious' hatred of asteroids led to the construction of the Hypernova Defense Laser. It was designed to prevent even the toughest asteroids from coming anywhere near Dr. Nefarious or his compatriot Lawrence.
- The computer used to govern the Great Clock uses an advanced PK-73 sisterboard with a raritanium vector shell. The only other one in existence can be found inside the IRIS Supercomputer.
- Despite the Agorians' claim that no non-Agorian has ever won their tournament, there have been rumors that a Lombax once accomplished that very feat. To this day, there has been no evidence to support this claim.
- The Fongoid tribes of Quantos outlawed all forms of technology, save for the occasional supply ship. Only a handful of grummels have been permitted to operate pursuant to Polaris Defense Initiative 1887-Upsilon.
- The Nefarious Space Station was designed and built by Pollyx Industries, and has served as Dr. Nefarious' home since he left Zanifar.
- The Polaris Compendium of Historical Importunateness suggests that Torren IV was once home to a thriving Fongoid metropolis. The reason for abandoning their city was never made clear, but rumors suggest it may have had something to do with the Zoni.
- Pollyx Industries was founded in order to locate and study Zoni technology. However, it's CEO quickly began selling their findings for profit to tyrants like Dr. Nefarious and Lord Vorselon.
- Contrary to popular belief, the Zoni are neither mechanical nor biological. They are sentient beings of pure energy. In order to survive in another dimension, they must confine themselves within special metal bodies.
- The smartest Terachnoid on record was G'Narlax Frahm of Axiom City. He was born with an astounding seven-and-a-half brains.
- The Great Clock's design utilizes over 4.3 trillion moving parts, making it the most complicated piece of machinery in the known universe. Number two is the Iris Supercomputer with 3.2 trillion parts, and number three is a Terachnoid juice maker with 3.1 trillion parts.
- Krell Canyon was once home to the Breegus System's richest raritanium mine. Nowadays it carries a less impressive reputation — as the most frequently-invaded territory in the galaxy.
- The Tombli Outpost is the primary manufacturing plant for Dr. Nefarious' troops and starships.
- When Vapedia was ravaged by volcanoes, the remaining inhabitable portions were lifted into the air by hyperwind suspension fans so as not to come into contact with the lava pits. When the planet cooled, the Valkyries kept their citadel there for defensive reasons.
- The original name for the Tombli Outpost was "The Klunk Memorial Work Camp and Day Spa". However, after several legal battles with Klunk's estate lawyers, the name was changed.
- The Polaris Board of Interstellar Tourism declared planet Quantos "the best-kept secret in the galaxy", citing the planet's friendly natives, unspoiled jungles, and freshwater fjords.
- Prior to Dr. Nefarious' meddling, the hive-minded Zoni assisted in the maintenance of the Great Clock.
- Polaris explorer Max Apogee once claimed to have found a Zoni temple somewhere inside the caverns, but his refusal to create a holo-map caused scepticism.
- Like Clank, Sigmund was constructed away from the Great Clock. Prior to taking his position as Junior Caretaker, he was a cleaner bot on planet Viceron.
- Prior to Dr. Nefarious' arrival, Zanifar was a celebrated Spring Break hot spot. When he arrived, he cancelled Spring Break and convinced the planet's nonviolent inhabitants into building his first base of operations. To this day, no one knows how he managed to do it.
- The Polaris Board of Interstellar Tourism voted planet Torren IV "Second Worst Vacation Spot in Polaris" right behind planet Morklon.
- Before escaping Zordoom Prison, Flint Vorselon (A.K.A. Lord Vorselon) was serving a life sentence for kidnapping Kerchu Ambassador Boogoh.
- After losing his body, Lord Vorselon and his army stormed GrummelNet HQ in Meridian City, where they stole the design for his mechanical suit. To this day, galactic authorities are baffled as to how a disembodied head accomplished the caper.
- Lord Vorselon was once a great Terraklon assassin before he lost his body in a war against the Drophyds of planet Zaurik. His requests for a do-over have thus far gone unanswered.

The Agorian Council for Equal-Opportunity Dismemberment feels your arsenal is a tad excessive. Survive an onslaught of bloodthirsty gladiators using only the wrench and your trusty Negotiator.
